Tour Eiffel, August 2012

I have visited Paris one three separate occasions, in 2008, 2010 and 2012. I would go back again in a heartbeat. It would be impossible to visit the city too many times, because there’s just too much too see. It’s the kind of place that you have to force yourself to step away from your coffee on the street where you were people watching and gazing at the architecture to actually get out and visit some of the sights. I could spend days on end watching the world go by in Paris. I would actually recommend it as the type of place to travel alone, if the sight of numerous happy couples didn’t depress you.

Champs Elyseés, August 2012

Seeing a show in the Moulin Rogue has been one of the highlights for me, purely because it’s such an iconic thing to do. For me, it was like ticking something off the bucket list, like visiting the Grand Canyon. That, and seeing the Mona Lisa in the Louvre. Ah. Mazing.

I’m sure the shopping is amazing in Paris, but since it’s hideously expensive to even buy lunch in a nice restaurant, I doubt I will be able to return with the intention of blasting cash in designer shops.

At the Trocadero, August 2012

Although many visit the Sacre Couer, you have to actually go inside if you really want to be impressed. You can go underground to vaults, it’s incredibly eerie but so interesting, and the building is just so beautiful it will take your breath away.
